So I have officially started my spring semester in college. Before it started I went into this new semester thinking it was going a bit easier. I was so wrong! I enrolled into fourteen units, in order to meet the requirements for some of the universities I applied to in the fall.
It is the second day of the semester and I have a bit of a load of assignments to complete by my next tutorials. However, I am determined to work harder than I did last semester, and improve my study habits. I need to review my chapters before tutorials and attempt to minimize my procrastination (that's going to be a tough habit to break, but I can try).
For those going into college, here are some tips:
1. Sleep, don't neglect your sleep, I often make things worse for myself because I stay up late and have tutorials early.
2. Get yourself a planner and plan your week/days ahead as much as you possibly can.
3. Don't be afraid to ask for help or use resources your college has to offer (this is something I have finally started doing myself).
4. As obvious as it sounds DO NOT PROCRASTINATE! (even though we all do it).
5. It is okay to take homework breaks if needed, as long as your work gets done right?
6. Try to not have any noise around you or electronics that may cause distraction, it's hard, but by having these devices around you break concentration.
These are just a few I can think of at the moment, if remember more I will be sure to post.
Hope everyone is doing great and I will write soon!
